Soul.Blues returns to the Bull’s Head, Barnes with a brand-new collaboration bringing together some of London’s finest Soul & Blues Legends for one unforgettable night. Expect a high-energy, feel-good journey through deep soul, raw blues, and unstoppable groove from this powerhouse collaboration of four iconic London musicians.
Featuring Atama ‘Blues’ Bentley, London’s very own Fiji Bluesman (via the Sydney Blues Mafia), delivering a blistering live show packed with buzzing electric guitar, raw vocals, and pure blues fire and drummer and Cymande founding member Sam Kelly, a funk legend and a true giant of British music. Five-times ‘UK Drummer of the Year’, honoured by Blues in Britain, Sam’s stellar career includes playing alongside Dr John, Robert Plant, and Gary Moore.
The show will also be featuring a couple of very special guests. Bassist, Massimo Avellano, is a highly sought-after, genre-busting bassist from Naples with 36 years of experience and longtime collaborator of late rocker Chris Dowling, Massimo blends deep groove and a rich feel to give Soul.Blues its unmistakable funky magic. Brazilian percussionist Felipe Amorim brings irresistible Latin flavours and global rhythms to the party. After touring South America, Europe, and the UK with Chris Corcoran, Jack J Hutchinson, and Santiago Periotti, and serving as house drummer at London’s legendary blues bar “Ain’t Nothin’ But…” for six years, Felipe delivers beats that ignite the room. Expect soul….expect blues ….expect a night to remember!
