After a series of vibrant duet and quartet performances last year at the Bulls Head Jazz Club, pianist Tomasz Zyrmont and double bassist Ben Hazleton return — this time joined by special guest vocalist Elvira Rey for a unique evening of acoustic jazz.
Tomasz Zyrmont is a renowned London-based pianist, composer, and educator. A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music (Katowice) and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London), he has performed at leading festivals and venues including the London Jazz Festival, Yamaha Music Live, Wigmore Lates, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, the 606 Club, and the Jazz FM Discovery Show.
Ben Hazleton is one of the UK’s most respected double bassists, with over 25 years of international performing experience. He is a regular at top London venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The 606 Club, and Pizza Express Dean Street. Known for his expressive playing and deep groove, Ben has worked with artists ranging from Talvin Singh to Roots Manuva and is a longtime collaborator in both jazz and fusion scenes.
Special Guest – Elvira Rey is a Polish-born, London-based vocalist known for her warm mezzo-soprano voice and emotive performances. Blending jazz, pop, and musical theatre, she regularly performs at prestigious venues such as The London Palladium, Phoenix Arts Club, and Jazz Café POSK. Her interpretations of swing standards and soulful ballads bring a compelling and personal energy to the stage.
In the second set, Elvira will join Tomasz and Ben to present a mix of beloved jazz standards and lyrical gems - adding a rich vocal layer to an evening already full of expressive, acoustic interplay.
Expect a night of musical chemistry, elegance, and timeless jazz delivered by three exceptional performers.
