Soulfunks:

Explosive soul and funk from this great nine-piece soul ensemble. The band’s extensive setlist provides a balance between familiar classics and less well-known numbers. Expect material from James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Curtis Mayfield and Toots & The Maytals as well as Stax, Motown and seventies funk.

The band features female vocalists with distinctive styles and great harmonies backed by tight rhythms and a driving horn section. The seven original band mambers have recently been augmented by two experienced veterans of the Reggae & Ska scene on drums and vocals. Soulfunks have been playing regular and well attended gigs at a wide range of venues across London and the Southeast since its formation seven years ago with the band always guaranteeing ait will be hard for audiences to refrain from dancing whenever they play! 8.30pm (Doors 8.00pm) Tickets £13 in advance & £15 on the door.
