Award-winning blues/soul singer Bruce ‘Mississippi’ Johnson is bringing his unique brand of contemporary blues & soul music to the Bull’s Head. Mississippi born Bruce Johnson has worked with the legendary blues bassist Big Joe Turner (BB King, Albert King), appeared on the French version of ‘The Voice’ and recorded with France’s leading ‘Rat Pack’ ensemble, “Forever Gentlemen whose CD of the same name went triple platinum in 2013. His A -List band includes Dan Smith, guitar, Matt Jacobs, Keys, Carl Stanbridge, bass & Max Revell, drums, together with the brilliant horn section of Simon Finch, trumpet, (Lemar, Matt Bianco, Katie Melua) & Simon Bates, saxophone (Rick Astley, Chaka Khan, Jamie Cullum, Eddie Floyd).

A consummate performer with a dynamic line-up whose musical repertoire is reminiscent of the Hot Buttered Southern Soul sounds of Memphis, the Stax era and beyond, with a celebration of such soul legends as Isaac Hayes, Bill Withers, Gill Scott Heron and Barry White.
