Londoner Chris Read has gone from busking on the underground in his teens to writing songs for Disney and Netflix during the pandemic, while forming and touring the musical comedy double act ‘Harry and Chris’ along the way (***** “Unique, intelligent and very entertaining” Deadline News).
Between his film and TV songwriting work he has constantly written songs for his family and friends, and at this one-off gig he will be performing some of these, along with songs he's written for stage and screen, and of course some favourite covers from the world of jazz and pop.
Accompanied by childhood friends who are now heavy hitters in their own right, Sam Brown (bass, cello), Matt Fletcher (drums) and a string trio, come and enjoy an evening of original songs like no other.
Chris has also been working very hard on writing bios in third person.
