A huge figure on the British jazz scene since the early 60s, Art Themen has continued to work at the highest level both in the UK and on the international stage. A previous winner of the tenor saxophone category in the British Jazz Awards, this living legend of a tenor player is still regularly playing to packed crowds over at The Bull’s Head. “His ideas (are) eclectic in an unpredictable style that has outlasted the Coltrane clones of his generation”, said Jack Massarick – London Evening Standard Jazz Critic. Completing the quartet are Matias Gayer on piano, Tim Wells on double bass & Spike Wells on drums.
