Warwick Alumni Big Band play the Lunchtime Session
Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
The 22- piece big band is comprised of alumni members of Warwick University Big Band, plus a few very welcome additions. These talented, fun-loving musicians come together after finishing their day jobs to rehearse; revelling in their shared passion for big band classics, jazz, swing, Latin and the odd bit of filthy funk. Since forming in 2013, WABB has gone from strength to strength, performing in venues across London as well as in Cambridge and Southampton. In May this year WABB embarked on its first international venture. The band travelled to Paris to perform with Ça Swingue, a swing dance group from Science Po University. On a perfect sunny afternoon in the famous Place de la Republique in the centre of Paris, it was hard to tell who was having more fun: the band, the dancers or the audience! Don't miss out on what promises to be an afternoon of energetic music, guaranteed to put a smile on your face on the Sunday Lunchtime Session over at the legendary Bull’s Head, featuring vocalists Helen Mason, Jenny Cooley and Dan Parkes and directed by Matt Dunston and Rob Kaner. Tickets £6 in advance & £8 on the door
