The Decibelles Play The Evening Session
Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
The close harmony trio consisting of Deirdre O'Kelly, Janet Oates and Wendy Linsey all teach singing when they are not performing as the Decibelles - ranging from jazz groups to community choirs, rock choirs to classical choirs plus solo singing. The trio arrange all the songs themselves - from jazz standards like “Night and Day” to rock songs like “Sweet Child Of Mine”, from 60s hits like “Will you Love Me Tomorrow” to pop classics like “Fix You” and “Faith”. They are equally at home singing tunes such as the Bee Gees “How Deep is Your Love”, “Over the Rainbow” and “Copacabana”, alongside more traditional Andrews Sisters close-harmony Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” style songs - one of their favourite encores. The Decibelles are basically a cappella but do have ukes and a keytar, (guitar shaped keyboard) and a smattering of percussion too in some of the songs. Tickets £10 in advance & £12 on the door
