The UK’s leading Gypsy Jazz & Swing ensemble performing inspired re-worked classics of Django Reinhardt in addition to their own highly acclaimed material penned by their band leader Simon Harris, bringing a unique and highly contemporary twist to this ever more popular genre. Simon is joined by guitarist Kourosh Kanani and bassist Henrik Jenson and special guest Matt Holborn, a jazz violinist based in London, who performs regularly with his band Latchepen and is the host of 'The Jazz Violin Podcast'. Expect exciting foot-tapping arrangements of trad swing greats such as Nat King Cole and more. Since forming in 2005 the trio have performed in top jazz venues both in the UK and abroad, playing major festivals such as Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, The Mostly Jazz Festival and Shambala Festival. “Irresistible and world class ……..” said EuropeJazz.net.
