Rob Barron Quartet
Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
The band features some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians with Rob Barron on piano, Sammy Maybe on sax, Jeremy Brown on bass & Josh Morrison on drums. Drawing on influences from the classic groups of the period such as the Milt Jackson and Cedar Walton line-ups as well as more modern groups such as the Peter Bernstein/Mike Ledonne Quartets, the Rob Barron Quartet plays exciting new arrangements of songs ranging from Rogers and Hart to Stevie Wonder as well as their own compositions. Tonight, the group will be performing numbers from their latest recording, “What’s In Store”, as well as some brand new material. With regular appearances at the Ronnie Scott’s Late Late Show, and at other major venues all over the country, the band has developed a close musical rapport around a shared passion for music from the bebop and hardbop era. Expect a night of bebop played with finesse and originality together with modern takes on timeless popular songs. 8.30pm Tickets £13 in advance & £15 on the door
