Tonight’s exciting concert presents as evening of Acoustic Jazz Fusion from the Post Woodstock period. Torus, now in its 7th year since its revival in 2011 has built a solid reputation on the London scene for rerunning the strand of music that emerged during the 70s and 80s typified by performers like Jarrett, Corea, and Steps Ahead (Brecker, Grolnick, Mainieri). The regular saxophonist, Gary Plumley, is replaced on this occasion by the wonderful Mornington Lockett with the noted Alex Hutton replacing Jonathan Gee. Way Out West is a unique collective of jazz musicians whose diverse improvisation, performance, arranging, composition, all come to the forefront in full force within regular gigs, as each collective member presents their work with stars from today’s jazz scene. 8.00 pm tickets £10 in advance and concession, £5 students & £12 on the door
