Evening Session Featuring The Bridge Quartet with Christopher Kent “Seven Last Words”
Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
This special project was devised around a programme based on Haydn's 7 last words, with secular texts, that makes for a perfect presentation in the run up to Easter. The concert features an hour of contemplative, highly charged atmospheric music by Joseph Haydn, relating to Christ’s last utterances on the cross which has inspired actor, Christopher Kent to make a moving and thought-provoking selection of poems ranging from Shakespeare to Larkin in this important run up to Easter. As the Bridge Quartet approach their 30th anniversary in 2020 it has been a rich period of local appearances, in West London and both nationally and internationally. The quartet are noted for their fine recordings of British music, especially from the early 20th century. “The superb Bridge Quartet ……” Michael Kennedy, Sunday Telegraph.
