onight, Robin Bibi and Alan Glen will be launching their new live album, “St Lawrence Blues “, in the Jazz Room at the legendary Bulls Head. Featuring a blend of original songs, some of which are on Robins acclaimed album “No More A Secret”, reworked with acoustic arrangements and also some blues/roots standards including Alan’s scintillating rendition of “Stone Fox Chase “, the Old Grey Whistle Test theme tune. Bibi and Glen are widely recognised as two of the UK’s finest exponents of their respective crafts. After paying his dues working as a session guitarist with among others Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and the Pretty Things, Robin concentrated on his own band and the Robin Bibi Band have played nearly all the major Blues Festivals in the UK in their 21-year career with Robin has been nominated for best acoustic act and best guitarist in the British Blues Awards. Alan Glen is truly a virtuoso of the Blues Harp, having won best blues harp player of the year in the British Blues Awards together with worked extensively with such notable artists as The Yardbirds, Nine Below Zero, the BarCodes and the Fabulous Blues Puppies as well as working and recording with Alannah Myles, Alvin Lee and Dr Feelgood. 8.00pm Tickets £10 in advance & £12 on the door
