One of London’s finest singer/pianists and songwriters will be bringing her special Christmas Show full of soulful, enchanting musicianship to the Bull’s Head, including her jazzy take on a selection of festive numbers. Graduating from the University of Leeds with a BA in music in 2014, Katis moved to London where she is fast becoming one of the UK’s most sought-after performers. In October 2014, Pheobe Katis penned and performed the theme song “All Of My Life” to the BAFTA and BIFA winning movie, ‘Kajaki. The True Story’ aka ‘Kilo Two Bravo’ (USA). In 2018 Katis collaborated with American funk guitarist extraordinaire Cory Wong, co-writing and performing the tune ‘Juke on Jelly’ featured on Wong’s most recent album “The Optimist”. Katis has released two singles, “Touches” & “Promises” featured on Spotify New Music Friday playlists across Europe. She has sung for BBC 4 Woman’s Hour and BBC Kent, performed at Glastonbury and appeared at many of London’s leading venues. Her ‘Harmony Fun’ videos (youtube/facebook) have garnered the attention of artists around the world including Emily King, Theo Katzman, Joey Dosik, ELIZA, and NAO, all of whom she takes great influence from in her own music. Katis is recording her debut full length album out in Minneapolis with Cory in December 2018. For this special show will be joined by two of London’s most exciting new jazz talents; Ed Rice, keys and Ed Ireland, bass. You can expect original music that dances between soulful ballads and nostalgic jazz-pop fusions, complimented by enchanting renditions of tunes from Carole King, Alicia Keys, Melody Gardot, Diana Krall, and Norah Jones among others. With over 160,000 plays on Spotify and YouTube, and an increasing number of prestigious gigs under her belt, including two sell out seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017 & 2018, this is an evening not to be missed.

In October 2014, Phoebe was commissioned to write the only piece of music in BAFTA and BIFA winning movie ‘Kajaki. The True Story’ (‘Kilo Two Bravo’ – US release). Her single ‘All Of My Life’ is the theme to the modern British War Film and has reached over 150,000 plays on both Spotify and YouTube.
In September 2017 Phoebe released a piano-vocal album of her own music, show casing her talent as a performer and diverse songwriter. Phoebe’s new single ‘Promises’ is set for release in March 2018 (prod. by Tim Bazell, Heart of Gold Studios). Phoebe’s talent for diverse songwriting has led her to work with a number of producers and artists across a range of genres.
On the performance side, as both a solo artist and with her band, Phoebe has played at a number of prestigious venues including sold out Jazz Club @ Pizza Express Dean St and Ronnie Scott's. She has also played the festival circuit, including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, and Bestival. Phoebe performed at the private 70th anniversary party for BBC Radio 4 Women's Hour, and has had numerous appearances and support from BBC Radio Kent.
