This 50's R n’ B fun style band plays the sounds and influences of original classics from such artists as Wynona Carr, Ann Cole, Ruth Brown, Etta James, Jane Morgan, Ella Fitzgerald and Cab Calloway, along with some self-penned songs to fit into the genre with titles like Busy Baybee and South Of The Bohemia. Recently reformed they are back playing at major jazz venues such as Boisdale in Canary Wharf and The Bulls Head in Barnes. Suzi Ritz, real name Susan Black performed a tribute to the Life of Edith Piaf at the Jermyn St Theatre, Leicester Square Theatre, as well as guesting in other shows such as “Beatles Go Classical” at The Royal Albert Hall with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, “Robin Gibb (RIP)”and “The Soldiers” at The London Palladium. Susan is planning to take the band into the studio next year to record their first album of original sounding 50’s R n’ B material with producer John Ravenshall.
