New York City born singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gregg Sutton played bass and sang for Bob Dylan in 1984 in a band that included Mick Taylor, (Rolling Stones) and Ian Maclagan, (Small Faces, Rod Stewart, Stones). During this 6-month tour he played with Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and Chryssie Hynde. A prolific songwriter, Gregg’s songs were recorded by the likes of Joe Cocker, Percy Sledge, Dolly Parton, Carla Thomas, Sir Tom Jones and Curtis Stigers. After Dylan Gregg joined the revolutionary band Lone Justice, for whom he played bass and was a major song contributor. Lone Justice appeared at Farm Aid, did SNL twice, two tours with U2 during the Joshua Tree years as well as their own national and international tours. Gregg’s song-writing career continued to include writing with legends like Carol King, whilst he and the great UK singer Sam Brown wrote “Stop” which was a hit twice and top 5 in every country in Europe. Gregg also played bass for Rita Coolidge appearing at JazzFest in New Orleans as well as all over America and Canada. With Gregg Sutton, vocals, piano, guitar & bass, The Outfit also features the legendary Ex-Wishbone Ash guitarist Manny Manninen, the hugely acclaimed UK born Gospel and soulful jazz and blues singer Denise Gordon on backing vocals and Tony Coote on drums (Paul Weller, PP Arnold) with special guests Chris James Rand on sax (Nine Below Zero, Madness), Laurent Mouflier on harmonica (Mick Taylor Band) together with Eric Jay Robinson on keyboards (Whitney Houston, Rita Coulridge, Tina Turner).
