Marco Marzola Trio “Charisma”

The trio, featuring Marco Marzola, contrabass & electric bass, Ivano Borgazi, piano & keys & Lele Barbieri, drums, is a dynamic line-up with “Charisma” a power-packed experience of emotions and excitements based on a large repertoire of original jazz and revisited standards from leading composers as well as the trio’s own compositions. Band leader Marco has shared the stage and recorded with many of the top European and American jazz artists including Betty Carter, Harold Land, Jimmy Cobb, James Hurt, Chuck Mcpherson and Fabrizio Bosso to name but a few. Pianist and composer Ivano Borgazzi has worked with the likes of Lee Konitz, Tony Remy, Sarah Jane Morris, Ellen Christy, Karl Potter and Craig Handy. Drummer Lele Barbieri has played with Steve Grossman, Lew Tabakin, Sonny Taylor and Ed Cherry whilst in 1987 he replaced drumming legend Max Roach in Bassano del Grappa playing alongside Dizzy Gillespie, Milt Jackson and Johnny Griffin as well as performing with the legendary guitarist Pat Metheny.
