Helen Theophanous & “Les Girls” sing Jazz Favourites on the Sunday Lunch Session

Helen Theophanous continues her popular Sunday Lunchtime Series with a special summer show featuring three guest singers, “Les Girls” - Caron Gardner, Toni Green and Zoe White. Caron Gardner is an actress and singer with credits such as the Bond film “Goldfinger', The Saint, The Avengers and various stage appearances including The Royal Court and The Ashcroft Theatre as well as working with saxophonist /songwriter Duncan Lamont performing his songs and has made an album “Ballads Of A Bond Girl”. Toni Green is an actress, comedienne, singer and voice over artist as well as being the voice of BA worldwide. Zoe White has starred in musical theatre and performed at jazz gigs all over the capital as well as being a much in demand photographer for live music events. Expect some favourite jazz standards from the Great American Songbook and everything from ballads to bebop from Helen and the girls. The top-flight band features John Crawford on piano, Paul Morgan on bass and Steve Taylor on drums. Both of John Crawford’s recent albums “Ulia River Of Time” and “Times And Tides” have met with critical acclaim and he will be appearing with his Trio in the Ronnie Scott's Piano Trio Festival this August. Paul Morgan has played bass for musicians such as Zoot Sims, Peggy Lee and Ronnie Scott. Steve Taylor is a renowned UK drummer whose 16-piece Big Band plays in many of the top London venues. Helen Theophanous studied music at Goldsmiths' and the Guildhall school of Music and jazz with the award winning American jazz singer Lea DeLaria. Her well received album “Amici” was made with Renato D'Aiello, host of Monday night’s Upstairs at Ronnie Scott's where Helen is a regular featured guest singer as well as performing regularly at many other prestigious venues.
