Allison Neale Quartet
Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
": Seattle born altoist and flautist Allison Neale is renowned for her cool melodic sound, reminiscent of the West Coast style of the 1950s. She has performed alongside International artists such as Duke Ellington vocalist Adelaide Hall and altoist Bud Shank and more recently tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton and New York guitarist Peter Bernstein, with whom she has recorded her fourth album “Quietly There” due for release in 2019. As a true specialist and advocate of the West Coast tradition she celebrates her alto heroes such as Art Pepper, Paul Desmond and Bud Shank featuring the compositions and arrangements of these classic quartets from this period. “Allison Neale plays the alto with a sound so light and airy it positively melts at the edges …..” Dave Gelly, “Observer” “A talent to savour…..” Peter Vacher “Jazz UK”
