Denia Ridley with the Greg Davis Quintet
Denia Ridley
Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
Denia Ridley is a part of the great American tradition of jazz vocalists. Now living on the Riviera, Denia elegantly interprets the standards of the "Great American Songbook" in a swinging, refined, dynamic style reminiscent of the great Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nancy Wilson and Dinah Washington eras. Over the years, Ms. Ridley has toured throughout Europe where she has taken part in the "Festival de Jazz de Madrid", Monaco's "La Note Bleue Jazz Festival", "Jazz à Domergue" in Cannes, Nice's "JazzOff" festival, "Festival Internazionale di Jazz" in Italy's Tuscany region, and "Jazz in Najac" in southwestern France, among others. Since starting her jazz career, Denia is honoured to have worked with many supremely talented artists such as the superb Italian pianist Dado Moroni; Lena Horne's former guitarist of many years, Mr. Art Johnson; as well as Mr. Jack Sewing, who was world-renowned Stéphane Grapelli's bassist for over two decades. For this special concert she will be appearing with the much-acclaimed Greg Davis Quintet.
