Critically acclaimed pianist, composer, multi-instrumentalist and musical explorer, Helen Anahita Wilson makes her debut at The Jazz Room, interweaving her own compositions with jazz, world and contemporary classical music for piano. * “I make late night, low light music….music that is rich and sensual….intimate and tender also.” *
In exploring music from across the world, Helen draws inspiration from many Asian traditions, from jazz and from her own background as a Western classical musician. She has performed at major venues and festivals across the world and broadcast on BBC Radio 3. Recent performances include The Treehouse, Shoreditch, and The Piano Man in New Delhi.
This special show will also feature “live art” by Alban Low (The Art of Jazz)
