Classically trained on both piano and vocals and drawing on influences across the genres of jazz, blues, pop and soul, Phoebe’s soaring, soulful voice is both technically beautiful and emotionally captivating and she will be inviting you to enjoy an evening of classic songs and superb musicianship from her trio consisting of some of London’s most exciting new jazz talent, with Ed Rice on keyboards and Ed Ireland on bass. You can expect original music that dances between soulful ballads and jazz-pop fusions, complimented by enchanting renditions of tunes from Carole King, Alicia Keys, Melody Gardot, Diana Krall and Norah Jones, among others. Graduating from Leeds University with a BA in Music, Phoebe moved to London where she has been honing her skills as a songwriter and live performer. In October 2014, Phoebe was commissioned to write the only piece of music in BAFTA and BIFA winning movie ‘Kajaki. The True Story’ (‘Kilo Two Bravo’ – US release). Her single ‘All Of My Life’ is the theme to the modern British War Film and has reached 100,000 plays on both Spotify and YouTube.
Phoebe has also written with producers and artists across a range of genres including neo-soul, dance, and pop. Phoebe is currently working closely with Berlin based writing team TNC (The Next Classic: Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Chainsmokers, Ariana Grande) and is beginning an exciting new artist project with them this year. Her songwriting skills mean Phoebe is becoming one of the UK’s most exciting and in demand talents.
As both a solo artist and with her band, Phoebe has played at a number of prestigious venues including The Pheasantry Music Club @ Pizza Express, The Century Club and Ronnie Scott's. Phoebe has played the festival circuit, including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, El Dorado, Standon Calling, and Bestival. She has also performed on BBC Radio Kent and at the private 70th anniversary party for BBC Radio 4 Women's Hour.
