7 Star Arts Presents
Odette
Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
Sun-kissed sounds bring an exciting fusion of jazz, folk and world music inspired by Odette’s travels. The highly talented singer/songwriter and guitarist Odette and her band invite you to a unique evening of original numbers and jazz standards in the intimate surrounds of the Jazz Room at the Bull’s Head, featuring Odette, vocals and acoustic guitar, Kartik Raghunathan, backing vocals and violin, Matt Chandler acoustic & electric guitar, Mike Nichols, double & electric bass and Eric Ford, drums and percussion. Having spent four years traveling the world, working on cruise ships and song-writing in her spare time, Odette's music brings together elements of the external world and her own internal world. Her diverse musical influences contribute many facets to her music, together with her appreciation for the silence from which music is born. Her songs do not sit entirely in any particular genre, but sound very confident where they are, and a “A Shake of the Hand”, her debut album, reflects her myriad influences. " …..original numbers with the verve and energy of R&B …… a fine singer, with a charming and warm presence ….." The Sunday Times.
