Led by vocalist, Sonia McLean, the band is known for its sophisticated and original arrangements of well-loved standards. Expect soulful renditions of timeless jazz repertoire, effortless swing, Latin grooves and a few originals. Sonia will be joined by Paolo Losi on piano and Nick Lenner-Webster on double bass. All are well-established musicians with a wealth of musical experience to draw on. When they are together on stage, they make for a fantastic afternoon’s entertainment as the energy flows back and forth between them! Following the launch of Sonic Jazz Project’s EP, the band performed for the BBC, St Ives Jazz Club, Looe Music Festival and Bude Jazz Festival and Sonia has worked with many top-light musicians including Graham Harvey, Alex Hutton, Terence Collie, Max Luthert and Tony Woods.
