Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
Malaya burst on to the live circuit in 2015 following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, Bourbon Street, her powerful stage presence soon winning audiences at major venues and festivals everywhere, including the Great Rock & Blues Festival, Birmingham International and Colne. Malaya was also nominated for awards in no less than four different categories by the British Blues Association, best female vocalist, best track (Bitter Moon), best album and best emerging artist, an unprecedented feat for an unknown talent. 2016 saw Malaya back in the studio recording a follow-up album with some of the cream of British Blues musicians; Dudley Ross, guitar, (Kirk Fletcher, Lisa Mann), Paul Jobson, keys, (Blue Tones, Joss Stone), Stuart Uren, bass, (Stray, Blue Devils) & Andrew McGuiness, drums, (Temptations, Alexander 0’Neil). The resultant album, Heartsick has received widespread national and international print and online media acclaim, regular radio play on Radio 2 and other UK based British blues broadcasters and on stations across the USA, Australia, Canada, Japan, South America and most of Europe. This very special show at the Bull’s Head will see Malaya performing with the same red-hot players who featured on Heartsick.
