Edinburgh Festival Special Preview Night: Fiona Coffey presents A Touch of Mrs Robinson
Entry Requirements: Under 18s to be accompanied by an appropriate adult
50 years ago, Mrs Robinson seduced The Graduate in the 1967 film classic and became a legend in her own leopard print. Now, in a new musical cabaret, “A Touch Of Mrs Robinson”, we hear her untold story. Written and performed by Fiona Coffey, and featuring her dashing musicians, top London cabaret musical director Michael Roulston on keyboard and Jonathan “Kitch” Kitching on drums, the show offers a unique and witty take on cinema’s greatest cougar. With slinky jazz and fabulous arrangements of 60s pop songs from artists such as Cilla Black, Burt Bacharach and the Kinks, “A Touch Of Mrs Robinson” explores Mrs Robinson’s journey from college girl, to embittered 50s housewife, to suburban swinger. It's a funny, provocative and uplifting show that contains a surprisingly inspirational message from cinema's greatest cougar! Could a touch of Mrs Robinson change your life? “A Touch Of Mrs Robinson” was performed in 2015 and 2016 to sell-out audiences at top venues both in and outside London and most recently played to a capacity audience at the Komedia for the Brighton Festival Fringe. The new one-act version of the show has its premier at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 4th-25th August at Greenside Venues, Infirmary Street. What audiences say about the show: "A captivating and delightful evening of first-rate cabaret”. “A Touch of Mrs Robinson is a stroke of genius”. “Revolutionary Road meets Mad Men. A voice like chocolate” “A sensational, witty, poignant, thought-provoking, clever and inspirational show”
