The Rolling Drunks Blues Band were formed over a bottle of Jack Daniels, in 1986, and throughout the tail end of the eighties would play around 180 gigs a year, delivering their lively blues show to venues and festivals up and down the country. Amidst all of the festival fun and numerous support gigs, the crowning glory was one night having their hero Steve Marriott, showing up at the front of the stage with a tray of beer for the band in appreciation of their show … what a gent! After drifting apart in the nineties, the band have re grouped, and are back with their special blend of high octane blues, mixing lively home-grown songs and classic blues numbers from the likes of Muddy Waters, Dr Feelgood, 9 Below Zero and The Rolling Stones. So get ready for a boozy bluesy afternoon, and bring along your dancing shoes. The Rolling Drunks comprise of Carl Wilson on harmonica, Simon Lyne on drums, Chris Tetley on keys, Tim Ashton on bass and Simon Clay on guitar and vocals.
