Chris Clark and his Little Big Band

Chris Clark joined the Coldstream Guards at 15, winning the Frank Wright cornet competition at Kneller Hall. After leaving the Army, Chris has played in many West End shows including Jesus Christ Superstar, Guys And Dolls and Starlight Express. His career as a vocalist has been mostly with his own projects and bands such as Stealing Dan & Don featuring Chris on keyboards and lead vocals where he performs regularly at the Bulls Head as well as with The Bogus Blues Brothers, Boogie Heights 70s Soul and Polished Brass [Brass Ensemble]. Joining Chris Clark on vocals and trumpet, are Graham Russell on trumpet, Richard Pardy on tenor sax, Andy Crompton on trombone, John Price on piano, Paul Carmichael on bass and Paul Robinson on drums. Graham Russell is an outstanding trumpeter who has worked with artists as diverse as Mike Westbrook, Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and was lead trumpet for many years in Starlight Express. Royal Northern College of Music graduate Andy Crompton has toured and played with many household names including Michael Ball, Tom Jones, Lionel Richie and played in many West End shows including, Fame Jesus Christ Superstar, West Side Story and Oliver. Paul Carmichael has performing with Ian Carr, Gary Husband, Allan Holdsworth, Barbara Thompson Lulu, Soft Machine and Charles Azsnavour as well as playing West End shows Cats and Les Miserables. Paul Robinson spent 19 years touring the world with Nina Simone played with top performers such as Van Morrison and Mose Allison and recorded for Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, The Pet Shop Boys and played the West End in in the Lion King.
